At LPW we believe that young people aren't just our future – they're our present. That's why we want young people to be at the heart of our decision-making processes and encourage a participatory approach across all of our work.

What is Youth Voice
Young people shape every aspect of our work. They help shape our sessions, improve our facilities and influence how our programmes run. Whether it's through our suggestion boxes, sessional feedback or casual conversation, we make sure every young person has multiple ways to be heard. An example of this is at our adventure playground, where attendees helped design our new structures and play equipment.
Our commitment goes beyond listening – we take action. When we're hiring new staff, young people are a central part of the interview process, helping us choose the right people to join our team. We support children and young people from our sessions across Bristol and South Gloucestershire to participate in opportunities to share their views and have their voices heard, both locally and further afield.

How to get involved
If you want to have your voice heard in and help advocate for other young people, the first step is to talk to one of our friendly team. We can help start your journey and explore how you might like to get involved in youth opportunities.
We also offer youth volunteering opportunities. For information on youth volunteering, please click here.
